The School Health Services program is provided by full-time Registered Nurses in every school and includes the following health services for students:
Opioid Abuse and Addiciton
Individualized health care planning
Case management for students with special health care needs
Illness assessment and care
Injury prevention, triage and treatment
Medication administration and monitoring
Fluoride Program for students in K-2
Communicable disease prevention and control
Environmental health and safety
Access to health insurance
Management of student health record data
Emergency preparedness and response
Communication among students, parents, the school community and health care providers
Health Counseling
Health Education and Promotion
Health screenings:
Hearing in grades K-3, once in middle school and once in high school
Vision in grades K-3, once in middle school and once in high school
Postural in grades 5-9
Height, Weight and BMI measurements in grades 1, 4, 7, 10
